Loren Westbrook

Loren Westbrook-Fritts is a cellist from the Washington DC area. He is one of a handful of cellists that are expanding the cello’s repertoire to include rock music. His cello rock quartet Primitivity consists of 4 cellos and percussion. They perform classical arrangements and rock music. Loren composes and arranges the music for the group. His original compositions for rock cello quartet are influenced by such musicians as Shostakovich, Apocalyptica, and Metallica. Loren's heavy metal arrangements of Megadeth For Cello will be released on February 24, 2010.
